GEMS From HEAVEN
God has made things simple for us to always choose Him. However we do not always make the right choice when it comes to our trust. We are cursed when we put our trust in mankind for the resources for the way of life. God sees this as a turning away from Him. This in turn causes us to become spiritually barren, disappointed and frustrated.
Here is the GEM: to put our trust in God will cause us to grow as a tree with deep extended roots by a stream. Our eyes will be open to see the goodness of God even in the hard times of life. We will be productive for His cause and His glory so that we may bring others to Him as the true source of life. So let us trust in God and His gospel for the saving of our soul in this life and for the life to come that only He can give.
Thus says the LORD, "Cursed is the man who trusts in mankind And makes flesh his strength, And whose heart turns away from the LORD. "For he will be like a bush in the desert and will not see when prosperity comes, but will live in stony wastes in the wilderness, a land of salt without inhabitant. "Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD And whose trust is the LORD. "For he will be like a tree planted by the water, that extends its roots by a stream and will not fear when the heat comes; but its leaves will be green, and it will not be anxious in a year of drought Nor cease to yield fruit.
