GEMS from HEAVEN: Revelation 4:3; 21:10-21
The circulatory (blood) system is an amazing system designed in our body by our Creator. It delivers oxygen to the cells and removing carbon dioxide from them; carries digested food substances to the cells of the body; disposes of waste products and poisons that would harm the body if they accumulated; helps protect the body from disease; provides a mode of transport for hormones; transports heat (can both warm and cool body). From this one is able see how important the blood is to the physical body.
Here is the GEM: Since blood is important to our physical body, how much more important is the blood of Christ for our soul. It is the salvation system designed by God to deliver life to our dead soul destined for damnation because of sin. Its power removes or washes away sin and establishes our soul under God’s protection and a relationship with Him as we live faithfully. When one is baptized into Christ (God’s salvation system), they come in contact with that blood, releasing its cleansing power. Oh what a great system our heavenly Father has provided for us to become a child of His, therefore the power of life is in the blood, the blood of Christ.
But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from the wrath of God through Him. For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.
