GEMS from HEAVEN: Revelation 4:3; 21:10-21
Those of us who are older, remember when we thought the instructions of our parents was outdated and “uncool”? And how our way of thinking was more sophisticated, hip, fly and cool? After getting older and having a family of our own, how many us now appreciate how sophisticated, hip, fly and cool our parents’ were as they tried to teach us was right?
Here is the GEM: God’s wisdom has always been, will always be superior and more advanced than our so-called wisdom. Because of our modern technology, we often think that what God says in His word is outdated, unsophisticated and therefore irrelevant for our modern times. We end up ignoring it to our own detriment. Let us not be deceived and miss out on the joy God provides when we learn and do His will. Be brought to a higher conscientiousness with hope for tomorrow so that you may live above the muck and mire of the destruction of being spiritually ignorant.
For the word of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. For it is written, "I WILL DESTROY THE WISDOM OF THE WISE, AND THE CLEVERNESS OF THE CLEVER I WILL SET ASIDE." Where is the wise man? Where is the scribe? Where is the debater of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not come to know God, God was well-pleased through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe…Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men.
