GEMS From HEAVEN
In life some of us get off to a great start but end up with a terrible finish. On the other hand, some of us start out slow but end up with a great finish. Whether you get off to a great start or a slow one, at least you have started because it’s all about the finish.
Here is the GEM: life truly begins when we obey the gospel of Christ. Some quickly excel in their growth of truth but in time fade, give up or even quit because they have lost focus of the Lord. Others start out slow in their learning and grasping of God’s will but keep at and blossom into a tower of spiritual strength even in the waning hours of death. So, it is truly about how we finish by being faithful to the Lord and His course of life.
I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith; in the future there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day; and not only to me, but also to all who have loved His appearing.
2 Timothy 4:7-8
