GEMS From HEAVEN
How many of us have ever run out of gas or needed extra cash to go into your bank account? Some of you may have encountered more intense and trying times. However, was it not comforting to be able to call someone to give you the help you needed?
Here is the GEM: this is the way it is with the Christian and the Lord. We are encouraged by the Lord through the apostle Paul’s writings to see Him as the one to call, through the avenue of prayer. Such situations mentioned earlier can create a lot of anxiety. We need to take courage that we are not to be anxious in any situation, just pray to our Father in heaven who will supply us with what we need. Now, isn’t that comforting too? How blessed it is to be a child of God.
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
