GEM from HEAVEN

Everyone at one time or another seeks to have a sense of belonging. Why do you think gangs flourish? They make a person who feels like an outcast; feel like they are a part of something. So they willing engage in evil behavior simply for the recognition.

Here is the GEM: when we obey the Lord’s gospel, we are placing our soul on the firm and sure foundation which is, He knows us and that we are His. We belong to Him, being formed and shaped for His good use. Unlike the gangs, we are urged to depart from wickedness and instead, embrace those things that He deems as good and right. Therefore, serving Him in His way makes us vessels of honor in His sight.

Nevertheless, the firm foundation of God stands, having this seal, "The Lord knows those who are His," and, "Everyone who names the name of the Lord is to abstain from wickedness." Now in a large house there are not only gold and silver vessels, but also vessels of wood and of earthenware, and some to honor and some to dishonor. Therefore, if anyone cleanses himself from these things, he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified, useful to the Master, prepared for every good work.
