GEM from HEAVEN
There are things and circumstances that are just beyond our control. No matter how hard we try, we cannot change them because of our limited and finite abilities. We cannot control neither death nor every moment of the behavior and will of someone. When we have done the best that we can so what do we do?
Here is the GEM: we serve a God who is all powerful; who is always present, seeing everything; and who knows everything. He has the power over death and it is to Him we are to commend ourselves and the souls of others. He is able to do what we are unable. Why not commend instead of contend with Him?
Therefore be on the alert, remembering that night and day for a period of three years I did not cease to admonish each one with tears. And now I commend you to God and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up and to give you the inheritance among all those who are sanctified.
