GEMS from HEAVEN: Revelation 4:3; 21:10-21
We are so blessed with the material things of this world that we have been blinded to our true condition. Our prosperity gives us the false security that we are in need of no one or anything. It is not until those things are taken or that we come to the realization that they do not satisfy our deepest need.
Here is the GEM: the Christ provides for us ointment that will enable our eyes to see that we are wretched, miserable, poor, blind and naked; and that we are in need of Him. We are strongly urged to get this ointment so that we may see our need, our condition and get from Him the garments that will properly clothe us for eternity.
I advise you to buy from Me gold refined by fire so that you may become rich, and white garments so that you may clothe yourself, and that the shame of your nakedness will not be revealed; and eye salve to anoint your eyes so that you may see. 'Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline; therefore be zealous and repent. 'Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me.
