GEMS from HEAVEN: Revelation 4:3; 21:10-21
When our hearts have been broken, wounded, mashed and mangled by the ways of the world, we hide and withdraw. We are unwilling to share this with others for fear of their disdainful reaction to our already broken heart. The joy we once had is gone along with the zest for life.
Here is GEM: there is a merciful God who will tenderly restore us if we would only go to Him with our broken and contrite heart. He, through Christ, in His gracious instruction will mend and restore the joy even greater of what we once had.
"Behold, My Servant, whom I uphold; My chosen one in whom My soul delights. I have put My Spirit upon Him; He will bring forth justice to the nations. "He will not cry out or raise His voice, nor make His voice heard in the street. "A bruised reed He will not break and a dimly burning wick He will not extinguish; He will faithfully bring forth justice.
