GEMS from HEAVEN: Revelation 4:3; 21:10-21
Struggling with the daily drudgery of life? You know; going to work, managing a business or coaching a sports’ team. In every honest, wholesome work can be laborious, challenging and sometimes mundane. However we are required to faithfully perform our duties.
Here is the GEM: as a child of God in every honest work, we are fellow-workers with Him. It is not about notoriety, even though that may happen as we faithfully do our work, it is about bringing glory to Him. It is about pleasing Him for the blessings He has bestowed on us through the Christ. With that in mind, it should give us all a different perspective about the work we do.
Bond-servants, obey your earthly masters with fear and trembling, with a sincere heart, as you would Christ, not by the way of eye-service, as people pleasers, but as bond-servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart, rendering service with a good will as to the Lord and not to man, knowing that whatever good anyone does, this he will receive back from the Lord, whether he is a bond-servant or is free.
Ephesians 6:5-8
