GEMS from HEAVEN: Revelation 4:3; 21:10-21
Most often when we think of choosing a path to follow, we think of it in the sense of a career choice or an occupation. We are afraid if we make the wrong choice, we will not be successful. In reality there are only two paths; the path of sin and destruction and the path of righteousness with the hope of heaven. The path of sin is easy at first but the results are hard and devastating. On the other hand, the path of righteousness is hard but the results are joy, hope and eternal bliss.
Here is the GEM: God long ago promised that He would teach us His ways so that we might walk in His paths. He has fulfilled this in the Christ. Even though, we must choose Him and His ways, then apply what we learn in the occupation we have chosen in order to be successful. True success is not defined by the monetary things of this world but by walking in God’s paths thereby reaching the goal of eternal bliss with Him. This is far beyond the monetary successes in this life.
Many nations will come and say, "Come and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD And to the house of the God of Jacob, That He may teach us about His ways and that we may walk in His paths." For from Zion will go forth the law, even the word of the LORD from Jerusalem… Each of them will sit under his vine and under his fig tree, with no one to make them afraid, for the mouth of the LORD of hosts has spoken.
